In my new shop, I can leave my tools set up and have other work in progress. These pieces were turned as I worked on router table and some other projects. I find turning to be a great stress reliever and allows me to think over whatever project that I am also working on. The oil candles in first picture are olive wood I brought back from Israel last June, the oil candles in the last picture are mahogany from Costa Rico (brought back in 2011). There is something about finding wood for turning in countries we visit that make it even more special.
If you need something to take your mind off things; I heartily recommend turning.

That olive wood is gorgeous. They all finished well.
