This was the fourth end grain cutting board I’ve made. I had a friend who really wanted one and so I told him we would make it TOGETHER. Happy to report, he actually came through and did a lot of the sanding work! I particularly like how the large Walnut blocks in the very center and the Cherry blocks lined up – it added an additional elegance to the board.
The finished dimensions are 20” x 25” x 2” thick – it is huge but looks great on his granite island. Finish is Block Bros. Block Oil. It is a food safe oil that works better than anything else I’ve found.
Woods used: Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Wenge, Coyote (deep red colored blocks and ends).
