Here are a couple of boxes I built. The lotus flower shaped one is walnut. The box is about 15” tall and the base is about 15” wide. I used spray on flocking for the inside of the drawers. The other box is aromatic cedar from a chunk that a friend cut down in his yard. I left the inside of the box unfinished because I love the smell of the cedar.

Billy,. Well done and the finish is outstanding. I love the Lotus design. I believe that is one of Louis Kenner Ventura designs. I really like the roll top lid it reminds me of a treasure chest. Good Job.

Very nicely done. We are excited to start some of these when our bandsaw arrives.

A very nice job on the box. I have made this one before and have also made the box’s that stand by themselves, but you really nailed this one…

That band saw box is really shaped nicely! Excellent work!

Nice looking boxes billy, a little hint, put some runners under those drawers, it will help center them in the cavities. Happy bandsaw boxing.

Those are both great boxes but I LOVE THE LOTUS FLOWER ONE! Great wood choice, great craftsmanship, and a super finish. I took Randy’s advice about the runners to center the drawers better and it works very well. I used tongue depressors for the ‘runners’.

It’s more than just ordinary scrollsawed box. Wonderful design, awsome finish. The wood is beautiful.

Blackie, I appreciate the tip on the drawer runners. I’ll use that tip. Thank you
