Christmas Box

Still trying to get all the Christmas presents posted. Sometimes it seems getting a good picture can be more work than the project. Either bad lighting or a glare from the flash or to much clutter in the background.

For the box, its just a simple Art Deco box, Maple and Rosewood. The lid is curly maple and rosewood trimmed in birdseye maple. I finished it with gloss poly, every little imperfection is visible with the high gloss and was really making me mad. After 4 coats I called it good, my grandma is in her late 70’s and I don’t think she can see them anyways. Hope you guys like it.

very nice. I like the design and choice of woods.

I have the same problems with pictures. it’s even more difficult with large built in pieces

I really like the detail of that box. It’s not over-designed and that made it very pleasing to eyes!

BP, you have invested big bucks in the tools in your shop…why not spend a little money on photo equipment?

Mine is a tripod, roll of paper, length of pvc, shelf, and two lights.

Your outstanding work deserves good photography. I like your Deco design.
