This is an outdoor end table I made last month. I built a small deck, 10’ x 8’ or something like that, it fit a corner of my sloped back yard. I have a few chairs and a chiminea I made on the deck and I thought I should have an end table on the deck as well. I looked online to find styles and sizes I liked and this is what I came up with. Size is 20” x 20” x 17” tall. The table in made from a few pallet boards and a stick of red cedar for the legs. The frame is pine, the top looked and felt to be maple, and the four little spline are oak. So yes the table was built out of scrap. I finished with several coats of Fiddes supreme wax polish rugger brown.

Nice use of reclaimed wood. Simple but very functional.

Nothing wrong with putting scraps to work. Nice looking table.
(Half the reason I do any project is to generate scraps for other projects!)

I used brad nails on the boards for the table tops only bampy. My thinking was for expansion and contraction as it is outside. But for the frame top two layers of pine with lap joints glued, so no room for movement. Sometimes I make sense sometime I don’t. I don’t know. Thanks for the feedback Guys.
