This is one of the projects I completed this past winter. I made this ash and walnut sled for one of my grandsons. His older brother has one I made five years ago and it’s still going strong. The runners and ribs are six layers of ash shaped over a form and laminated with expoxy.

That’s pretty cool! I’ve never seen anyone make one before.

Bill this is too nice to use, but I’m sure your grandsons enjoy them a great deal.

Very interesting construction…looks like a lot of fun to make too.

I agree with Woodhacker. Almost too nice to use. Beautiful job on the sled. Thanks for posting.

Now this is a first class sled. It is strong, well built, and is gorgeous. It is much better than the commercial ones that are available.

Very nice. It is a one of a kind piece that your grandchildren can put it away when they get older and share it with their children.

Very well done.

This looks great, Bill! I keep bookmarking different plans in hopes of making one someday. Kudos to you!

I think that’s the first sled I’ve seen on the site. Well done.
