So I got sick of staring at the pile of cutoffs and the drawer full of screw boxes today… what to do?
I also got sick of staring at the pile of ‘scrap’ plywood on the North wall of my shop… garage I meat, sorry honey!
Anyhow, I put two and two together and made myself some neato little things that have improved life in the 72 Hour Weekend workshop (garage) no doubt!
Picture 1 shows the finished and hung Screw Shelf I made to clear out the drawers in my bench, pic 2 & 3 show the carcass being constructed.
Pictures 3, 4 & 5 show the scrap cutoff bin I made to clear off the top of the above mentioned bench… I learned a lot about accuracy, clamping and use of a hand held router on these projects and while neither are very impressive, both do wonders for my sense of organization and cleanliness. The final pic shows a fairly accurate shot of my shop (garage, sorry honey!) and you can see the scrap bin under the bench in the lower left quadrant of the photo.
All in all I got to build a rabbet jig and use my jigsaw, not to mention my new crosscut sled and shop vac, so it was a good day!
Thanks for having a look!
