I finally finished the dresser for my daughter. The majority of the wood is from the same tree as her crib. The design is my own, however I came across a strikingly similar design from Vermont Wood Studios after I had the design finished, so I guess it isn’t all that unique, but they have some great looking pieces in my opinion. It is my first attempt at handcut dovetails and I found them to be pretty fun. Overall, I like how it turned out and had a good time making the dresser.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking!

The lines are elegant in their simplicity with arches highlighted with the wood figure ! You conceived of the design and did an excellent job. If someone else was fortunate enough to come up with the same look, that does not diminish the accomplishment you achieved. It simply shows you that more than one person has an eye for elegance in design ! I applaud your work ! Very nicely done !
