This is my latest project. My Sister in law wanted a bench for her kitchen table. I asked her what kind and she said one like we had when we were kids. I couldn’t resist so I asked if that meant 4 cinder blocks and a 2 by 8. After that I HAD to make a nice one. This is made from pine using a kreg jig for joints. Got one for Christmas and love it. One tip though, when doing round-over, use smaller screws. Live and learn. The stain is red oak and 3 coats of gloss polyurethane. I included the third picture to show my tiny little basement shop.

Great job on the build and finish. What the hack is that white stuff on the ground LOL

The white stuff is the secret to my finish. I wait til it snows to apply finish and it freeze bonds it to the wood for the ice look. Just kidding, I like to photograph my projects outside but the weather did not cooperate. Thanks all for the compliments!

What can I say, Thanks to all for the compliments. I think one of the proudest moments as a woodworker came today when my bench was #6 on the top 15. Words can’t describe….
