Knitting box I made for my girlfriend. Special thanks to Steve Ramsey for his video on Woodworking for Mere Mortals! He was right when he said give it a lot of thought and it’ll all come together in the end. Lesson learned on this project was take my time and don’t rush!

I like this a lot. And my wife would LOVE this a lot. I think I have found my next gift for her birthday…thank goodness, as it is only 45 days away…

Very nice & practical it could have many uses
even as a drawer. Can I order some? :)

AJS, welcome to Lumberland. I think you have done just the right thing here. You have designed your box from the inside out instead of the outside in. I too try to make my boxes purpose-driven. That is to say they are designed to do some task or organize some part of our lives. Your knitting box does that precisely. I am a little curious about what goes in the drawer, and why you chose to put it on the corner instead of in the middle of your box. If you are looking for some box building tips, may I humbly offer this site. Keep boxing and keep posting.
