I apologize these pictures are before I finished the box and sent it with my sister for my niece. The box is out of 3/4 pine. In this picture it only has one coat of linseed oil, I used a poly on it for a top coat. I rushed this as my sister asked for it only a couple weeks ago, there where some issues. I have definitely learned that I am not far enough along to rush my projects. the top has strips of curly maple in it as well as the front strip.

do you ever get far enough along that you can rush your projects? The further along you are, the faster you go naturally, the more you think you can rush, the bigger the flub up.

Nice finish anyhow.
