I made these stools as my Little guys love a little plywood stool I made for them before. I decided to make these a little nicer with curves and hardwoods. the basis for the design is from TWW (the wood whisperer). He made much larger stools, I did not have enough wood at the time. I used scraps and other stock that I had. I love how these turned out. I also engraved the end grain on the legs using a broken off drill bit, I put it in a dremmel and sharpened it and it worked great. The tops are African mahogany, the legs are walnut and the stretcher is bloodwood. I enjoyed using templates this project has only one straight line and that is the feet that sit on the floor. Also shown is a christmas gift from the wife, we had a black walnut taken down 2 years ago, she had one log it planked and dried, I have never had so much wood at once, must be over 50 board feet, my next few projects will be walnut with accents. Happy new year

They look nice with the contrasting woods and they look like they are built to last a life time! Well done!
