Rescued a chunk of spalted maple from my parents firewood pile. This is the first turning from that log.

beautiful turning. I rescued a piece of spalted maple and it yielded a nice turning and several nice boixes.

Looks like marble. I have a couple pieces of spalted maple aging in the driveway, covered in snow.
