Inspired by Daris:

Mine is modified from the original plans…

12” tall vs the 8” (battery area)
2 slots each for AAA and AA vs just 1
added a box drawer for watch batteries and overflow (not shown, out of mat,l)

16” tall by about 10” wide, select pine with no finish

we buy batteries at Costco in 48 packs so needed a big one… holds 44 AA so not quite a full pack but any taller would just overkill all the others. maybe i could have added a 3rd row ha… its enuf

If imitation is the highest form of flattery, consider this idea stolen :)

Greetings from the socialist capital of America – California.
There is more than one reason they call it the ’left coast’?

Looks like you get a good deal on the batteries, but I went to re-chargeable 2 years ago
Note – Highly reccommend chargers and batteries from Ace Hardware (their best customers for re-chargable batteries are Harbor Freight customers who say that HF batteries only last days instead of years)

Very nice. I’ve had one of these on my To Do list for ages. You made a really nice job of it. I like the addition of a drawer for odds and ends.

Like the idea, so practical and useful in the house, keeps all kind of batteries organized.
