This picture was done for a friend of mine that makes jewerly. When I picked it out to make for her, later that same day, she had given me a necklace with a medallion of the very same picture. Do we know each other or what.
The picture measures 19”x19”x5/8”. It is made of Baltic Birch plywood and colored with Mahogany stain. The pattern is by Rashaan Ganief.

Really nice work, Kelly!
I enjoy how the entire center “floats” free of the rest of the work – it looks like a medallion inside of a heavy piece of wood.
I can’t believe this is BB Plywood – I didn’t realize it took stain that well! That is something I am going to remember for future use for sure.
I am certain your friend loves this gift.

this is really beautiful, i thought it was walnut when i first looked, you did a grand job here…its funny you and your friend wanted to give each other the same thing, very cool really…im inspired here to maybe do something similar..
