Acorn Birds

My yard is full of acorns. Thousands of them. It’s also full of downed branches. So we end up with mini acorn birds in oak birdhouses. Silly yes, but with a craft show next month, I think that they will be easy cheap sales. They would also make dandy Christmas tree ornaments. The largest are 2” tall with a 1/2” hole for the bird, the smaller ones are about an inch tall with a 3/8” bird hole.

After looking at the acorns and the guitars I have ti say that you have definitely an artistic flair and nice to see that you think outside the box with your projects. Good luck on your sales. Nice work.

Thanks for all the nice comments. The idea was borrowed from my friend Randy Bretz. He makes bigger and much more realistic ones from butternuts. I went with what I have. There’s something magic about little faces, they just make people smile.

That’s a neat idea! You might consider putting “angry” faces on the birds too, without violating another patented idea . . .
