Picture 1- Rosewood Vase 5 1/4” H x 4 1/4” D

Picture 2 & 3- Rosewood bowls 9” D x 3” H

Picture 4 & 5- Segmented Live Oak Burl salvaged from scraps left over from a previous burl bowl. This one was weird to turn because the grains ran every which way but straight.

Picture 6- Segmented bowl made with Elm, Cocobolo and Yellow Heart. The Elm I got from Lumberjock Hal Dougherty some time ago and I finally got around to using it. This was the outer slab from the first cut off the log from his sawmill. I could only get small pieces from it and decided to use the segmented method to salvage the beautiful wood. This is the first time I have used Elm.

I like all of them, particularly #4. Congratulation for each of them. Good start for 2013.

Amazing bowls! Like the wood and finish. What beautiful pieces they turned out to be.
