I made this little gnome door for my daughters birthday. We had one of her close friends sneak into her house while she was camping and place it on the wall next to her fireplace. We prefaced it a few days early by sending an letter from the “Gnome Welcome Wagon” organization saying that they had heard that her gnome, “Twinkle Toes”, had recently acquired a new home. We wrote it in Gnome Language using a special font I found – she had to do some internet research and decode it. It worked out great for her and my 5 year old granddaughter.
It stands 7” tall and is made from some weathered, cedar fence boards. The broom is made from a little stick and pieces of a kids broom I found at a garage sale. The wood stack is from another stick I “chopped”, stacked and tied with string. I used a soldering iron to put on the word WELCOME.
VERY fun little project…
