My first turnings

Project by Marcel T posted 540 days ago 247 views 0 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

‘Ello!

These are my first turnings, all done on my first lathe ‘design’ as detailed by my blog.
The first little button started as a wedge, and was sanded for quite a while. The ‘beehive’ type-thing was my second turning, using a hacksaw to rough in a cylinder, a chisel for the details and yes, a lot of sandpaper. My third turning fell apart into two pieces, but I still consider it one turning for some reason.

Cheers,
Marcel

Marcel,

These are interesting turnings. You took a novel approach in building these but they certainly do help with handling a turning addiction. :)

Thanks for the post.

Great start, Marcel !

As Scott indicated- the addiction is just starting.

Keep us posted on your work.

Will do Lew! I just started a blog, so if you want to read it, it’s there.
Thanks :)
