Shaker-ish Wall Shelf

After making wall shelves for my girls, my oldest son was asking for one of his own. So I made him one for Christmas, made of some Ash I’ve had lying around. The shaker pegs are the first turnings that I’ve incorporated into a finished project. They aren’t exactly uniform, as you can see from the photo, but being that I’m new to turning, I’m pretty happy with the end product. The finish is a couple coats of shellac followed by three coats of satin arm-r-seal, then ren wax.

I love the shakerish lol. The only thing unshaker like is the curves right? Great piece!
