So after all the presents had been opened this year for Christmas, my wife told me she needed a larger Utensil box or another one.
I used some red oak and a messed up cutting board (from my first attempt).

my wife and I was thinking of making a unit like yours but we decided to hang our utensiles for more counter space. Whats real funny is the picture with both boxes and the toaster looks like you took the picture in my kitchen..lol , same exact set up including the color of the wall
Anyways, great job on the box. I love all the diffrent species of wood you used, thats a great look!!

We don’t have much say in the color of the walls. We live in base housing so we don’t like to change things to much because in the end when we move out it has to back to the original.
However I would love to be able to make it more personal such has hanging the utensil and the pans, maybe one day.
