Needed a Wrecker for my fleet

What a fun build. no plans to follow, just my measurements from a local wrecker, past experience, and the internet. I went after a 30-50 ton design for my truck. The cab has similarities form a K/W but I did not copy any particular brand. The front wheels steer, of course the booms all work. I used many different cherry woods, local Walnut. Some I am not even sure of as they came from pallets from S America with hardwood flooring. The cab is very detailed, but when I added the roof I decided on a low, mean look and now the walnut burl dash is hard to see. Purple heart and Yellow heart show off the lights and accessories well. Full undercarriage down to the air brakes and drive line. Hooked it up to one of my dump trucks, well… it took a good picture.
Thanks for looking, Doug

A real nice piece of work. How long did this build take?

Is there a direct correlation to level of detail growing with a level of insanity? I keep flipping through these projects and talking to myself out loud as I spot and describe little details.

Great job as usual!

I can see you enjoyed this build by all the little details you incorporated and hate to guess at the amount of hours you spent on this .
Just a fantastic looking rig .

WOW! What a great looking Wrecker! Your amazing Hunter! Your pieces have so much to say! It’s not like you just click an look and go on to the next project, it’s more like click and stare for a while at your “Great “Fun” and very interesting pieces!
Well done! :)
