I made these boxes for Christmas presents this year. They are made of cherry with curly maple lids and finished with “bush oil” and sprayed poly.

Nice looking boxes. How are the lids kept in position?

Thanks for the quick response. I’m always on the lookout for ways of dealing with box lids other than a tablesaw—I don’t have one.

Great idea for gifts. I always prefer something nice looking that’s also very useable—and who couldn’t use a box?
Nice work.
