i made this out of soft pine, i cut it to 14” and i aged it by cutting the wood with a knife and a screw driver.. then sanded it smooth, then stain it with dark walnut.. i got antique brass hooks from a local craft store. fun and easy to make

I too like the aged look. Love hook racks, so simple and yet such a diverse way of finishing or building them.

You did a great job of getting an aged look. Believe me I know how hard it is to do that; you have to know when to hold back and do no more than is really necessary and you’ve done that very well.
