My father and I made a bunch of these to give out at one of the family Christmas’ this year. It was a fun and simple project to work on together. The smaller cubes are made from oak with the larger ones being pine. You may notice three of the larger ones are cube in a cube in a cubes. Thanks to Steve Ramsey from Woodworking for Mere Mortals for explaining how its done.

I forgot to mention that SWMBO helped us complete the first few cubes.

Very nice. I love this idea and I am sure your family enjoyed them as well.
