This is a project I have been working on for the past few weeks. I built it from cherry, padauk, and carob that I found locally on craigslist…I love that website. I learned quite a few lessons from this project and got some much needed practice cutting accurate dovetails, they got tighter as I went along. The Padauk used for the base was rough cut of the bandsaw and then shaped with hand tools which was a bit of a pain due to the rowed grain. Finished with danish oil.

21” Wide
15” Deep

Very nice work on this Erik, very much in the Krenov style. I definitely have one of these on my to do project list.

Eric,

Your journey of craftsmanship keeps spiraling upward. If you are not familiar with “James Krenov” I believe you would enjoy his books. And his philosophy.

Nice artistry!
