My daughter has been begging for a desk, and with the lack of room this is what I designed to fit in the available space.
The box is made from 1/2’ plywood with an mdf frame from my own design, steel cable desk supports and a push/touch magnetic latch, black board on the closed frame side (this changed from mirror, to whiteboard, to blackboard).
The sacrificial chair was my beloved shop chair that I used in a pinch to get this Christmas gift finished. I knocked out the top rail and laminated up some 1/4” plywood to match the curve and then transferred the same frame pattern to match. Painted two tone pink and black with enamel, vinyl flowers on the chair made a nice finishing touch.

Great design and execution. Big space or small space, this would be a good fit.
Lots of ways to go with this. You went well…...................

Great job and worthy sacrifices dad!
