These are a few cooktop covers I’ve made recently. As you can see (at least on the kitchen shots) they cover our gas cooktop. Very handy for providing extra serving space when entertaining since the kitchen seems to be the gathering place of choice. The “black” one is wenge sides with box joints and a wenge veneered plywood surface. The other two are leopardwood sides with leopardwood veneered plywood top surface. I’ve also made oak and padauk covers. They have been a big hit in the neighborhood. Nothing fancy but still fun little projects.
