A gun rack that my daughter and I built for my father-in-law. The shotgun shells on the dowels were my wife’s idea. It was also her idea to leave it unfinished. It is select pine and should look pretty cool after years of wear. This was also my first attempt at dovetails. I used one of those cheap-o dovetail jigs. Chloe and I finished it off by stamping it and then she signed it.

Nice job. I particularly like your daughter’s signature—her granddad will love it?

Different idea to leave it unfinished. Time will season it and deal with the grain of the wood.
