Great. Glad you didn’t do the standard tooth thing.
How thick is the wood? Where did you get the clock movement to fit the wood? Like to try something like that.

I have made about 10 of these clocks in the past year from any unique pieces of wood I can find. Usually 2”- 2 1/2” thick. This one is 2” thick and 35” across. I usually get my my clock parts from Klockit but are several companies online. I often find the more expensive movements are worth the cost. I route a recess in the back for the parts leaving only about 3/8” dial face thickness.
