This project was made for my two young nieces. The constuction was fairly simple. Frame and panel construction from 3/4 baltic birch plywood and poplar. Embellished with a scrolled bottom rail, cove molding, and fluted stiles on the each end for the front panel and ends. The top is 3/4 baltic birch banded with poplar. All painstakingly painted a custom cotton candy pink and white acrylic paint. Topcoated with a tough acrylic. First picture shows the finished product in their playroom with the addition of static stickers on the panels applied by the girls themselves. By all the toys surrounding this toybox, makes me wonder if I made it big enough?
