Ok so this is the unfinished pics of my 2nd version on the viking chest…. I added the through mortice and tenon joint to the bottom of the chest…. This one is out of pine as well. will update the pics after I snap some of the finished chest…. Still thinking about how to hinge the lid…. still need to stain the lid also oh well enjoy…...

Now you are an expert in these with two of them behind you. :)

Well done. To me this is the fun stage when it is all coming together and the finishing touches are being put on the piece.

I like 6 panel boxes.

We use them for benches and for holding feast gear for SCA events (plates, bowls, silverware, mugs). And they’re STRONG!
