My big summer project of 2012. Been wanting to build a pergola for three years. One fine morning I drove to Lowe’s, picked up some lumber, and started constuction. Once I got started the inspiration took over and the project just got better and better from there. The end result exceeded my expectations by far.

Built from pressure treated decking material and finished with decking stain. Should outlast me.

That’s a good spot to stay my spare time there. I think I should consider that as a successful piece! Wonderful.

Nice pergola ! The top is different than many, and the posts have some nice embellishments.

Nicely done. One project that is on my spring or summer to do list. Our deck is way to hot.
