Mallet swap

Here’s a couple of mallets that I made for the epic 2012 swap.

Both have Zebra wood mallet heads and are sporting Canary wood
handles. I’ve been saving these exotics for a special occasion and was
happy to use them.

The leather capped ends with the brass center pin went to Rev. Russ, while
the one with the “A” in the center went to fellow LJer across the pond known
as Brit, aka Andy.

Thanks for all who participated and organized this great idea.

The big one is the best I have seen so far.

Sweet! Spectacular wood. How did you do the square brass peg? with a brass bolt?

Mortised a hole in the handle and through the mallet
head, inserted the brass stock, and then cut to fit.

Thank you the kind words, they are truly appreciated.
