Burl necklace, A gift I made for my lady. Ive been saving these miniature burls for years, they grow in the bark of certain trees. These were Alder, maple, spruce, and Holly. You have to really keep your eyes open when your inspecting the trunk of a tree you might just find a little treasure.

P.s I thought she said she wanted a burl necklace not a pearl necklace o well even better. lol

Take care LJs and may the sawdust fly on these great holidays

Tell her that these burl are more rare than pearls!

Now that’s unique, and no one will be able to tell her that they “have one just like it at home”.
Hope that she loves it and enjoys it for years to come. Nicely done.

Missed this the first time around, now I am going to have to pay real close attention to the trees and wood
I work with and try to find some of these. Thank you for sharing, and I hope she enjoys this.
