Here is another one for my wife. Again it is made up of butternut but upon doing the sanding I noticed two stains in the wood which really would not go away even after much sanding. The only thought was to dark stain the body so as to make he two blotches disappear. To my relief it worked. The final finish is made up of semi gloss urethane mixed with 40 % thinner. It takes many applications but I like this method.

Very elegant. Those knobs really classed it up a lot. Nice wood combos as well.

Glad it worked out that way, the contrast is perfect.
Not alot of guys get that the secret to bandsaw boxes is to sand the edges of the openings and the drawer edges to round. This is really nice!

This is one of the finest bs boxes I’ve seen. Very crisp and clean. I really like the way the tones came out in that Butternut. Very elegant looking bs box.
