Merry X Mas to my biggest fan. My wife. The box is made from a piece of butternut I have had in my locker for over two years. I first saw this box on LJ and knew at first glance ( by the butterflies in my stomach ), that I would be giving a crack at this project (no pun intended). I lined the inside of the drawer cavities with felt so as to give a smooth and piston like feel to the drawers. The felt idea came from a LJ posting . After a bit of googling on the internet machine I came across a full set of instructions posted by Brian of Dawson Creek. Thank you so much Brian.

Here is a link to his posting and instructions in Canadian woodworking magazine. I hope this might inspire and help someone who so wishes to make one of these.

Nice! Thanks for posting and including the link. This will go on my “have to build” list to go with a whimsical clock I plan to make for my daughter.
