Merry Christmas!
I decided to get my brother a cooler for Christmas. I didn’t have any wrapping paper. So I did what any logical LJ would do. I wrapped it in cedar and doug fir. I used doug fir as the corners with a 2×2 section ripped out. The rest of the frame is made from cedar 2×4. I used pocket hole joinery to join the frame. The siding is T&G cedar siding. I finished the frame with Olympic deck stain canyon brown. The siding is finished with Olympic deck sealer clear. The hardware is oil rubbed bronze hinges and handle. This cooler build went rather quickly and was very fun!
I appreciate any feedback! Thanks for looking

Ya know it’s tradition to put money in a gift wallet. so I assume that the cooler is well stocked?
You did a great job on the build, looks really ‘cool’ from over here.

Great idea and great design. I’ll have to put that on my to-do list.

I think that you did a wonderful job on a couple of levels. Woodworking, cold beverage holding, functional gift. I salute you sir. Ron Swanson would approve. <-(my highest man compliment )

I like this a LOT. Very nice lines. When I saw it though, I thought you made a drawer above the ice for smaller items that might get lost in the ice with the rest of the beer. Still very cool though.
