So here for your viewing pleasure is my contribution to my sister in-laws Christmas present. My wife made the cross-stitch for her sister, and had a store bought frame. She cut the fabric too small so it would not fit the frame she had. So at 10 PM Christmas Eve. I offered to make a frame, she begged off and said she will just get another frame later. So off I went to the basement. Found a leftover piece of Cherry that just fit the bill. Ripped two lengths and mitre cut them to length. I was smart this time and cut all four pieces a little long! Good thing too, I had to make some adjustments along the way, used the glass from the store frame, and low and behold it was not cut square! Finally got it dry fitted, put the DO to it, glued up, tacked the cross-stitch in, and put a hanger bracket on. Took a little over an hour from start to clamping it up. Wife was pleasantly surprised with the finished project.

-- Measure once, cut twice.

Really??
I did a small frame like this for my wife recently.
It took me three days to get it “all” finished…..................

Great job. Much better than store bought.
