Present for grandsons

Last week, my grand son saw the Houston Texans logo on one of the custom coolera I was building and exclaimed “Thats what I want to hang on the wall in my room”.

OK. Done deal. #99 for one and #23 for his younger brother.
I made the deadline even if it ran up to the eleventh hour! :-)

Made from white pine with mdf numbers and 1/2” baltic birch for the logo.

Nice job!! Did you use a pattern for the logo or just freehand it?

@Jim – thanks.

@Al53 – I tried to reproduce the logo from a graphic found on the internet. It is not exact but close. The graphic is made from four individual pieces. See cooler project here.

The camera kind distorted the plaque but everything is pretty square.

I cut out the logo and numbers on the band saw. I have one of those cheep Harbor Freight 1” belt sanders and that worked great for squaring up the numbers.

Note: One of my grand daughters wants a plaque with Green Bay logo and #12 – whoever that is. :-)

Great work and a cool gift. Love the clean look.

I need to save up for a band saw.

Have your say...
