Never did like fruit bowls. Bottom pieces were always unseen and/or bruised. Scrap pieces of hickory, purpleheart, aspen and oak dowels.

Neat idea. MAy have to borrow it sometime next year. Always looking for a way to get the tomatoes off the counter.

clieb91 .. funny you mention that, i was thinking of doing something with dowels that i could break down after tomato season and store. Just a basic elevated thing to get them off the counter. I just set them on newspaper now. Seems it would let them breath more.
