This is one of the first pieces I made when I opened my shop years ago as a show piece. I made a matching set that a couple bought to go on each side of the hallway. I have made a few more since then but these were made of mahogany and rosewood inlay wrapping around the apron and a band going around the bottom of the legs. The apron was laminated made from a single board that was book matched and the lags were mortised to notch around the apron making the apron one single piece. Also many people will make these with three legs which I just prefer four to make it more pleasing to the eye. Thanks for looking! Excellent piece Brian. I was in the furniture business a long time ago and most of the better quality furniture came from big factories in North Carolina, but it wasn’t custom quality like you are making.
