After looking at a few others on LJ, I decided to make my daughter an armoire for her American Girl doll clothes. This was my first attempt at something this “real” furniture. It was a fun project and I learned a lot. (Namely that I need a lot more practice cutting tenons…thus the half-lap joints on the panel doors).
Made it out of Aspen from my local Lowes. Easy wood to work with, thus a bit softer than it probably should be for such a project.

That is a very nice looking piece. As my daughter is getting one of these dolls for Christmas I am sure I will be making something soon. Certainly going to favorite this one.

Nice project, something that you daughter can keep and pass on to her kids someday.

Some hangers…an “official” American Girl hanger, a wire one I attempted and one I made from 1/4” plywood.
