My grandaughter is in gymnastics and wanted a balance beam to pratice on at home.
I searched the internet to find some plans to build one, but couldn’t find anything
I liked. I decided to came up with my own plan.
The beam is made out of two 2”x 6”x8’ and one 4/4×8’ glued and screwed together
to form a beam that finishes at 4”x5”x8’ which was then covered with suede fabric.
The legs are made from 4”x4” stock and the 4 feet were made from 2”x 6”x 30” stock.
The finished height is 32”.

I looked at this and thought “What on earth is that finish?” Then I saw it was suede. :)
Nice work! Looks very stable.
Have your say...
