Protruding Arch

This coffee table is myrtle (quarter-matched veneer), Cherry and Walnut. I knew I wanted to incorporate an arched stretcher into this table, and decided to try to make it look like it was protruding through the lower shelf of the table. Definately one of those concepts that could be tweaked in version 2.0…

Any and all comments/critique welcome.

The joinery around that arch must’ve been challenging. I’m not sure how I’d begin to approach that.

I see a whole lot of “What If?” going on here and quite successfully. I might add. Push the envelope, think outside the box, yeah, that’s what makes things interesting. go get ‘em, pardner!! Excellent

Favorited.

Can you elaborate on version 2.0?

Unique. I have not seen that particular joinery yet.
