This “Sliding Dovetail Bookstand” was taken from Incra’s “Projects & Techniques” book by Perry McDaniel. The base is 7” X 20” and the bookends are 6” X 7”. It was made to match a trinket box that was previously made for my mother. The project was constructed using curley maple and purple heart. The finish is 4 coats of Watco Danish oil, sanded to 600.

Very interesting design. That must have required some seriously accurate routes.

bobasauras—I have to make sure that I don’t sound like an ad for Incra, but their positioners are really accurate and easy to use. The “Project & Techniques” book is great.
