My sister has a new house without much bench space.
So I have made 3 wooden covers to go over the top of her stove when it is not in use.

That’s awesome. I love the reclaimed wood. I try to make use of it whenever I can. Is this from the same lot of wood you made the outdoor table? Did you stain it, or is that the natural color. Nice use of the imperfections in the grain. Great job!

That is its natural colour it is finished with plain dainish oil.
The table has 4 different types of timber in it. The jarrah which is used in the center of the table and the covers does have quite a range of colour varying from light to dark red.
Both the center of the table and the tops came from old boards that I ripped into two pieces. As you can see the center of the wood is a much lighter colour ( you can see this on the bottom of the covers too). I expect it will darken with age.

Great job. Beautiful wood.
-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.
