Thought I’d start with basic shapes and a few odd ones. Used any colored wood I had. Yellow is locust, blue is alowood, rosewood, cedar, mahogany, walnut, purpleheart and not even sure what the orange is!! Finished in acrylic satin spray enamel. Eagle detail is wood burned. Next I will have to try some fancy filigree type.
I cut nearly all of them by putting the pattern on a thick piece of scrap maybe 1 1/2” thick, cut the shape on the scroll saw. Then went to the band saw and sliced into thin strips.
