While waiting for my order of wood to come in I was cleaning the shop and noticed the guys were throwing out a lot of scrap pieces and the idea came to me. Multiwood box. Yes I know, lots of people do it but at the time I was still fairly new to the woodworking scene. Anyways , I had just started helping a native carver with making boxes for him in exchange for some carving. this is one of them. The hinges and the handles were fun to create and it was the start of many more. The carving is a pair of wolves. Thanks for looking, Johnny”R”

I love all things Mayan and Aztec. What exactly are the wolves? Decal, on-lay, inlay?
Great job!

The wolves were carved and painted by a Canadian native indian. I can’t remember what tribe he was from but he does amazing work.I have some more carvings by him and I’ll post them soon. Thanks for your interest.Johnny”R”
