Gun Case for Dad

My Dad’s 60th birthday is coming up in January and my Mom got him this Uberti replica of a 1862 Colt pocket revolver. When she showed it to me, I decided it needed a better case than the cardboard box it came in. I got busy right away and this is what I came up with after a couple evenings. It’s oak with cedar bottoms and the lining under the revolver is elk skin. Not fancy at all but it is solid and I think it matches the gun well.

So thoughtful of you Eddy. He will love it. It’s like buying the gun with its original case. Perfect match!

Nice touch! Keep the box as it helps increase the collector’s value in the future. Does he have a safe or locker to keep it in?

A really nice piece of work. Nice pistol, too.
Bet he’ll be overjoyed with them.

Fantastic! This is a very nicely designed display case.
I really like the Elk leather background too. Nice.

**Just a word of caution – closely watch that the leather doesn’t
stain and corrode the pistol if it is touching. Leather and the
curing chemicals can cause acidity and attack the steel if it is
touching.

-- Before you louse it up, THIMK!
